The Success through Assessment & Technology Grant is designed to improve student academic achievement through the use of technology in elementary schools and secondary schools. The goal of this grant is to improve student achievement in a standardized state test score by 2%.

Technolgy Integration Reflection 3
What thoughts do you have about new ways you might use technology to help students acquire and integrate learning?

WOW! Where do I start??? I want to explore all the 100's of Power Point presentations AND explore the IMMEX site for cooperative grouping on the computer.
I will definitely be thinking more about showing quality finished products to the students so the ones with minimal exposure will have a visual to go by on what is expected of them.
I am in the process of putting together a blog to use in my literature classes for lit. circle books and my realoud book. I want to use the comment option on my students' writings. I would like to try and use web quests also. I have had my honor classes make a web site the last two years and they loved it. There has been so much to process today. It is hard to figure out when I am going to have time to do all these great things!
I'm looking forward to revisiting my big projects for the year and finding a new way to present the information using technology and having the students use more technology in those projects.
This grant is a comprehensive professional development plan which supports initiatives that enable educators to integrate technology effectively into curriculum and instruction. Any K-12 instructor within ESA Region 2 may apply to participate in this grant. Grant participants will select a state standard which poses an opportunity for improvement and use technology and formative assessment in their lesson plans in an attempt to increase student achievement in that standard. Participants will attend technology training sessions as well as work with a cognitive coach and technology integration specialist throughout the 2007-2008 school year to accomplish this goal.
The Education Service Agencies began in South Dakota as a vehicle to better deliver services to schools. In the spring of 2004, seven regional agencies were selected from proposals submitted to the Department of Education. Each agency is responsible for providing services to regional school districts, and serving as a resource for schools.
