Computers are a useful device for researching educational websites only when they are not blocked.

Most sites are blocked..pain to jump through the hoops to get to them. Also, there is absolutely NO instruction in the lower elementary. We definitely need a tech. instructor.

I am excited to go to iknowthat.com with my students. It's always good to get new sites that are "kid-friendly."

Using the blog. Sharing pictures and a story.

When we have enough working computers and ones that keep working while students are using them...computers and the del.icio.us site are very great for the kids. I don't know about registering at some of the games though...

I have always wanted to use blogs- hopefully the technology coordinator is more open to this. Also, the delicious site has a lot of cool things, like interactive Venn diagrams and flipbooks.

Bogging at it's best!

The delicious site is simply delicious!

Blog sites will become one site which anybody can use to get feed back information without students feelings getting in the way of comments.

I would use the delicious site to organize and share, if it didn't get blocked.

I use some of the interactive websites to demonstrate concepts in class or to show interesting videos, but I usually run into problems with the site being blocked.

I have no idea what will be helpful at this point...won't really know until I try them with students.

Very good websites - we will see if how many are blocked tomorrow.

There seem to be many "kid-friendly" sites to visit, provided they are not blocked or require a subscription fee. Plan to try many of them out!

We could definitely use a tech instructor.

several interesting ideas that will require more of my time to research to see which will be the most productive for the amount of time they will take. I need a method to get more time in a day.

I am wily. I am free. I am coyote.

the powerful paper lobby has convinced me of the need to ignore technology and also that computers are merely a fad, it's paper and pencil all the way for me.

I like the self-evaluation of the students.

Enjoyable information.

I am going to try more to reward my student with certificates.

Anonymous said...

I found a few sites that will reinforce math facts. Also, I will use the certificates for students achievement!! Thank You!!

Looking at effort would be a great way to chart those students who are not motivated and don't see the connection.

Anonymous said...

We will use the certificates that we found!

Having my students measure their effort could be really helpful. I think we could make a connection between effort and our grades.
